Propane regulators and hoses are essential components of your RV's LP gas system. The regulator controls the pressure flowing from your tanks to your appliances, while the hoses carry that supply through the system. When either component wears out, your furnace, water heater, stovetop, and refrigerator cannot operate correctly.

Our selection covers a wide range of regulators and hoses to suit common RV propane system configurations, including dual stage regulators, auto changeover regulators for dual tank setups, supply hoses in a range of lengths, and fittings for standard LP connections.

Check your current regulator type, tank configuration, and hose connection sizes before ordering to confirm the correct replacement parts for your RV's propane system.

What does an RV propane regulator do, and which type does my RV need?

An RV propane regulator drops high tank pressure down to the 11" water column (about 0.4 psi) that your furnace, range, refrigerator, and water heater are designed to run on. Most RVs use a two-stage regulator. The first stage reduces tank pressure to roughly 10 psi, and the second stage brings it to 11" W.C. This gives steadier flame performance as the tank empties. If your RV carries two tanks, an automatic changeover regulator switches to the reserve tank when the active one runs out and shows red on the indicator so you know to refill. Single-stage grill regulators are not a substitute on an RV system. Appliances such as Dometic 6 gallon RV water heaters need correctly regulated LP to light and hold a flame.

How do I choose the right hose and regulator for my propane tank?

Match three things before ordering: the hose length, the tank-end fitting, and the regulator inlet. Pigtail hoses commonly come in 12", 15", and 20" lengths. Measure from the tank valve to the regulator inlet and allow a little slack so the hose is not stretched. On the tank end, check whether your cylinder uses a POL fitting or an ACME (QCC1/Type 1) quick-connect. Most two-stage RV regulators take a 1/4" inverted flare at the inlet, but confirm this against your existing unit. Text or call 817-984-1852 with your current regulator part number and our team will confirm the correct hose and fitting combination.

How do I know if my camper propane regulator needs replacing?

Common signs of a failing camper propane regulator: yellow or lazy burner flames, a furnace or refrigerator that will not stay lit on LP, frost forming on the regulator body, or a water heater that lights on electric but not on gas. Check the date code stamped on the regulator. An older unit showing any of these symptoms is a likely cause. Before replacing a gas appliance part on units like 10 gallon RV water heaters, rule out the regulator first. If you smell propane at any point, close the tank valve and leak-test before using any LP appliance.

Can I buy an RV propane regulator and hose kit together?

Yes. This collection has 65 products, including kits that pair a two-stage auto-changeover regulator with matching pigtail hoses. A kit is the simplest option when you are replacing both at once, because the fittings are already matched to each other. Confirm the tank-end fitting type and hose length still suit your tank layout. After installation, brush a soapy water solution over every connection with the tank open. Bubbles mean a leak that must be tightened or resealed before use. Orders over $100 ship free.
