RV windows are one of the biggest sources of heat gain in summer and heat loss in winter. A single-pane window offers little resistance to radiant heat, which means your air conditioner works harder on hot days and your furnace runs more on cold nights. Reflective window covers target that radiant heat transfer directly, keeping the interior cooler in summer and warmer during shoulder season camping.

Many covers in our selection are cut specifically for windshields and cab side windows on Class A and Class C chassis, including Ford, Freightliner, Workhorse, and Spartan. Smaller reflective panels are available for coach side and bunk windows as well.

Check the product description for chassis compatibility before ordering, as fitment varies between motorhome makes and models.

Do insulated RV window covers help in winter?

Yes. Single-pane RV windows lose heat quickly, and condensation tends to form on the glass overnight. An insulated window cover adds a barrier between the glass and your interior. It slows heat loss, so your furnace cycles less often, and it reduces condensation on the inside of the window. For cold-weather camping, cover the largest windows first, usually the rear window and the dinette window, because those surfaces lose the most heat.

How do reflective RV window covers reduce heat in summer?

Reflective window covers have a reflective outer face that bounces direct sunlight off the glass before it heats the cabin. Your rooftop unit then has less heat to remove, which matters most on west- and south-facing windows during the afternoon. If your current unit still struggles to keep up, compare cooling capacity across our Coleman RV air conditioners.

What is an RV vent insulator, and will it fit my roof vent?

An RV vent insulator is a foam cushion that presses into the ceiling opening of your roof vent. It blocks heat transfer through the vent lid while still letting light through, and it helps with both summer heat gain and winter heat loss. Most vent insulators are sized for the standard 14"×14" roof vent opening. Measure your opening before ordering, because some older and specialty vents use different dimensions. If you are sealing up the cabin to reduce AC load, our Furrion RV air conditioner parts and accessories cover filters and replacement components for Furrion rooftop units.

How do I choose the right size RV window insulation?

Measure the glass area of each window, height and width, and compare those figures with the dimensions listed on each product page. Some window insulation kits cover one window. Others are cut-to-fit sheets that can cover several windows of different sizes, so check what each listing includes before ordering. If you are unsure which option fits your windows, text or call 817-984-1852 with your measurements and RV make and model, and our team will help you get the right fit the first time.
