Lavadoras de vehículos recreativos

Doing laundry in the rig changes how you plan a trip. No hunting for a campground laundry room, no quarters, no sitting with a book while a stranger’s load finishes. The trade is that a wash cycle uses 10 to 15 gallons, which goes straight into the gray tank, so boondockers feel it and full-hookup campers do not.

Everything here is a washer on its own rather than a washer dryer combo. That suits a rig with space for a stacked pair, or an owner who would rather line dry. Capacity runs from 15 pounds up to 2.8 cubic feet, in white and black.

Measure the opening in all three directions before ordering, check the 120V circuit it will run on, and remember a loaded machine adds 100 pounds or more to your cargo weight.

Can I hook up an RV washer to a sink?

Not the ones on this page. A permanently installed washer needs its own supply lines with shutoff valves and a drain line with a trap, plumbed into the rig rather than run to a faucet. A sink connection does not replace that. Portable countertop washers do connect to a kitchen or bathroom faucet with an adapter and drain into the basin, but they are a different product and are not sold here. Check each listing for the supply connections a unit needs and which hoses are included.

What is the difference between an RV washer and a washer dryer combo?

A standalone washer does one job properly. You get a fuller load, a shorter cycle, and drying that is not limited by what fits in a wash drum, which suits anyone with a stacked pair or anyone happy to line dry. The trade is space, since a separate dryer needs its own cabinet and usually its own exterior vent. A combo washes and dries in one drum and one cabinet space, which is the better answer in a tight rig, but loads are smaller and dry times are considerably longer. Everything in this collection is a standalone washer.

What size washer fits in an RV?

Compact RV washers are generally 24 inches wide, so start by checking that against your opening. Measure width, depth and height, then add clearance behind the unit for supply hoses, the drain line and the power cord. Measure the entry door and any hallway the machine has to pass through on the way in. Many motorhomes and fifth wheels have a factory washer prep closet, and the owner’s manual usually lists its dimensions. Compare those numbers against the dimensions on each product listing before ordering.

What power does an RV washing machine need?

Most RV washing machines and combos run on 120V AC, so you need shore power or a generator. Heating and drying cycles draw significant amperage. On a 30 amp service, running the washer at the same time as the air conditioner or the electric element on your water heater can trip the main breaker, so stagger those loads. Inspect your cord before adding a high-draw appliance; worn ends cause voltage drop and heat. We stock 30 amp RV power cords and extension cords, plus RV plug adapters for campground pedestals that do not match your cord.

How much water does an RV washer use?

Plan on roughly 10 to 15 gallons per cycle, drawn from your fresh tank or city water and drained into the gray tank. On full hookups that is no issue. If you boondock or dry camp, a single load can take a meaningful share of both tanks, so check your capacities before you commit to a washer. Shorter or eco cycles use less, and running a load before you dump rather than after makes the arithmetic easier.

How do I secure an RV washer for travel?

A washer has to be anchored so it cannot shift on the road. Most installs use brackets or a floor mount kit that ties the machine to the cabinet or floor structure, and a stacked pair needs a stacking kit between the two units. Mount the unit over an axle or near the floor frame where you can, since a loaded machine adds 100 pounds or more. Our washer and dryer accessories collection covers brackets, floor mounts and stack kits.

Can I order a replacement RV washer by model number, such as RVW7G?

Yes. Find the model number on the data label of your existing unit, usually on the door frame or rear panel, and match it to the model listed on the product page. A replacement still has to fit your existing opening and connections, so confirm the dimensions, voltage, and vented or ventless configuration before ordering. Large appliances may ship by freight; shipping details are listed on each product page. Text or call 817-984-1852 with the make and model of your current washer and we will help you get the right unit the first time.
